Listening to our ‘inner child’

Speaking to your inner child might sound a bit weird, but it can be a very powerul way of to heal some childhood wounds.

Most of us have a younger part of ourselves that was never quite loved or appreciated the way we needed as a child.

Speaking to your inner child, is a form of ‘reparenting’ which means recognising what you lost, or what you were not given as child, and giving those things to yourself now.

Which of these inner child affirmations stood out to you the most?

You are a good person

You don’t need to be perfect to get my love

You are not selfish for thinking about yourself

Your feelings matter to me

You are so loveable

I’m so glad you were born
